Re: I'm ready to get off the sugar, but need advice.

I have a book here on candida called The Yeast Guidebook ( I think ) By Jeanne Martin. She is a nutritionist specializing in candida. She recommends letting your body down easy. Maybe you would not want to go cold turkey. That is harsh on the body. Especially if you know it will cause some horrible symtpoms. Maybe you would want to gradually reduce the Sugar and replace with higher Sugar content veggies like carrots, and onions, and eat starchy veggies if you can and gradually wean yourself off of it. I woud highly recommend taking the best quality multi vitamin you can. I do not really subscribe to the piece meal philosophy when it comes to vitamins. All vitamins and minerals need eachother for proper absorbtion , it's crucial. Example would be vitamin E and C need each other and so do magnesium and calcium. I take fantastic vitamins by They are a little expensive but if you have done any research into what should be in a vitamin it is the only conclusion as far as I am concerned. Also drink plenty of water, which is my pitfall. What may have ahppened before is that as soon as you started the Sugar withdrawl the yeast gets angry cause you aren't feeding them. They release toxins to coerse you into doing what they want. If you do this gradually as I suggested you can get the little suckers without them knowing what hit them.

Jeanne Martin recommends a diet for 2 weeks or so that gradually prepares your body for the next phase. Remeber now, your body needs to adjust to a lower amount of sugar. Don't shock your body , you will weaken it that way.

Also, take extra calcium , magnesium along with multi, extra vitamin c, probiotics, and start off on an antifungal very slowly. As a matter of fact if you get results without then wait until you are into it for a few weeks. But flooding your body with toxins is definaltey not the answer.
