They are mostly air but they are very high glycemic and one of the worst offenders to cause your blood Sugar to soar.
That is great that you did not have to delete grains from your program. Some would be wise to. Not only are grains a Sugar source to feed the candida,they may also have mold and fungus and they have phytates which inhibit mineral absorption.
I never said one should starve themselves while on a candida specific regimen. You can and should eat a variety of protein and veggies with a minimal amount of fruit.
But,it all depends on the severity on ones condition on the approach they take.
