Cholesterol is manufactured by the liver. The fact that you had pale stones released is interesting. That means they weren't formed with any coloring agents such as bilirubin. Do you have elevated bilirubin levels on your lab tests? Pale stools? Floating stools? Constipation?
It could be your liver is functioning at such a low level it's not bothering wtih cholesterol so much as the more life-threatening aspects. Insomnia is often a warning sign of a very weak liver and mineral/vit B deficiencies and toxic bowels. If I were you, I'd do much more bowel management and liver management, not just flushes but herbs too to increase bile flow.
If you continue to have very low cholesterol then you'll also be low in progesterone and Vitamin D. NOt good. It will also impair the transport of prostaglandins.
Sometimes when the body is very low in something it's because it's a defense mechanism. The body may not want a lot of prostaglandins transported right now, or a lot of progesterone, so it limits those by limiting cholesterol. But I don't know why it would want to do that, both are essential.
