Re: Essential oils are the best to eat

With a few exceptions such as tea tree oil and lavender, the vast majority of essential oils require dilution in a carrier oil when applied topically because the high concentration of volatile oils can be extremely irritating to the skin if they are used 'neat' or by themselves. The damage is even greater when using pure essential oils near mucous membranes, and certainly from ingesting them internally.

Essential oils have wonderful properties and CAN assist with healing, but they must be used properly.

(With no offense intended, Claudio...I wonder if the confusion here is not a slight problem with translation and the use of the word 'essential'?)
