That's not a very nice thing to say. Maybe it's a little o/c but I am similar - spelling errors are disturbing! I understand when people post and english is their second language, but when people don't accurately copy quotes from books? That's not acceptable. And it's true, spelling errors indicate a low standard that usually is associated with unreliability. I believe Shelleycat said something along those lines in her forum recently when someone asked about a certain website and their products. She replied that their website was full of spelling errors so she wouldn't be likely to trust their authority or products.
