Is it possible to be cured?

Because, if you never have another outbreak, you may still have the virus dormant in your system, or you may not. Is there any way to tell? My understanding is that the blood tests test for antibodies. Even if you kill all the herpes in your body and are "cured," the blood test will still show the antibodies, right?
