Re: Try the oils seperately!
I too tried fish oils supplements combined with GLA,plus I tried lots and lots of different combo's and even tried evening primrose on its own too, for me the magic oil was barleens borage oil combined with a diet low in omega 3. If I eat things high in omega 3 the peeling lips come back in a few days even if I'm taking the borage. This is just my personal experience. I have learned that its all about your own personal chemistry and it can take some experimenting to find out whats right for you. But I strongly believe the omega 6/GLA oils should be tested seperately without the interference of omega 3 oils, this includes dietary sources like soybean oil, soybeans, walnuts, flax, hemp, fish, fish oil, eggs, etc. We are told we do not get enough omega 3 in our diet but if you look at all of the sources of omega 3 you would be surprised, and if you eat a lot of any of those sources you can bet that you are blocking your GLA in some way. Take some fish oil by itself for a while and see if your lips get worse, this is actually how I discovered my cure. I will add that before my lip problem I was eating a lot of salmon, and omega 3 enhanced eggs. I also took fish oil for a while for
Acne problems, worked great for the
Acne but not for my lips.
