Re: new
Of course I care what people think, I feel this problem is holding me back in life that's what gives me the motivation to keep going.I've only had a couple of people (at work) say ' your lip looks bad, put some vasilne on it' .I'm not saying I leave it alone full stop - at some point you have do ease it off becuase at the end of the day the skin is exfoliating so it gets thicker and thicker. When I first started this method it was very hard because it would only take about 4 days before it was quite thick! now after 4 days you would not notice it!.I have adapted my lip into my lifestyle, it pretty much ended my relationship but I knew I had to do something about it, I just thought stop biting and it would heal up in a couple of months, little was I too know the hell that we all go through. If the lip is bad and I don't want to take the scab off then i'll lie to my friends and say I can't see them - stuff like that - humans can adapt to any situation - I organise my life around my lip at the moment, like when the scab is off I do as much as possible like seeing freinds, shopping ect...
Basically what I've found is that the less you touch it/put stuff on it ect.. the slower the exfoliating is. My lip does not peel ( I wish it did! ), it exfoliates but the dead skin stays stuck on the lip, that's why you get such a big scab. I can't see any other way of sorting the problem. If you had the problem on your leg would you continue to put creams on it? or would you leave it alone?
