Headaches during menstruation

I have asked the doctors no one gives me an answer. I thought perhaps you would have a clue!! I always get a couple of nasty headached during my period. All day long headaches, go to bed with the headache even. I can take aspirin or ibuprofen and it may take some of the edge off but it is still pretty bad. Not migraines, just bad headaches (maybe bordering in migraine??) What wonky hormone may be causing this? If not hormones what?? And what can I do to get rid of them?
