Gas pain can transfer/migrate to some wonky places in wonky ways, but if you aren't feeling the gas move around or burping, it might NOT be gas. Tough call to make. Since it tends to happen regularly I would think its gas from your last meal, which means you need to eat a smaller meal with some lemon juice and ginger tea would be good too, or peppermint.

Other culprits can be swallowing large pills or swallowing air, which can get the esophagus out of whack and cause sharp pain when breathing or moving. I especially feel this when raising or lowering an arm, when it happens.
