Hello, First off I wish you well as you approach this situation. It seems like with everything there is a wide variety of ways to work with this. The most basic things with health seem to be adequate rest, sunlight, fresh air, fresh food particularly dark green leafy vegetables, colorful veggies, and fresh fruit, and emotional and spiritual well-being.It is not as if we have to make everything "perfect"instantly yet we gradually incorporate things into our lives and see how our bodies respond.
You mention that you are not in the same stressful situation anymore, besides that are you relatively unstressed? What is your diet like? With the winter months have you been eating heavier, creamier food or more dairy based items? For me, I do not consume that much dairy but as soon as I do I get an outbreak and shiner skin.Outbreaks seem to also come on during more stressful situations. It would be interesting to see what would happen working with your diet. What I do when I get a break-out, is first look at how I am living.Am I getting burnt out?Am I nurturing my body, mind, and spirit?I then make sure that I am drinking enough water to help move toxins...Sometimes enemas with distilled water can be helpful as well.I then concoct a broth out of organic vegetables...parsley, carrots, spinach and drink this.I actually even steam my face a bit by leaning over the pan a bit....Being careful because the steam can be quite hot.One can also make a mask made with finely chopped parsley and or ground cumin for Acne and this seems to help clear it up.Other topical things for the skin are lavender essential oil or tea tree.
The important thing is to be gentle with yourself.Try not to see the Acne as a hideous thing that is ugly rather realize that it is trying to tell you that you need something be it emotional, nutritional, etc.Take time for yourself and think about releasing forms of anger and unforgiving thoughts. In India, Acne is a sign of an imbalance of pitta.Pitta is one of the "doshas".People tend to be a combination of different doshas.Pitta represents fire, Vata represents air and kapha represents the earth.More pitta inclined people are typically full of energy at first but do get burnt out.Hot places and an over abundance of hot foods aggravate this condition. For more information you can look up ayurveda.
Hope this helps!Remember that everything on the outside is telling us about something on the inside. This is nice because it will help us get to the root cause!Hope this helps!Feel free to write back.Sincerely, and best wishes, Penelope
