Importance of taking psyllium with enough water

I have had very good results cleaning my lower bowel using psyllium and Bentonite clay. I still take psyllium for various reasons e.g. to help keep my stool soft, prevent bile from being reabsorbed.

Yesterday I mixed it with water at work and forgot to wash out my cup. Today I tried to wash the cup and the psyllium was so dry and hard I couldnt even scrape it off the cup and have left it to soak in hot water. I know that Andreas doesn't advocate taking psyllium and mentioned that it can dry/shrivel up your intestine. //www.curezone.org/forums/m.asp?f=263&i=295

I will still take the psyllium but would caution those taking it to ensure they take plenty water before, with and after taking it, and those who are prone to hard stools may experience problems.
