Tough story you are telling. Hope it turns out all well at the end. Your mother should go for treatment and constant care by a physician, I think, if she can afford it.
Interferon is the most proven treatment, I believe. If she can not tolerate it, I think SST is the next best thing. That's what I am taking and it works for me. Has very good Science behind it. Search the net and judge for yourself, I don't want to advertise anything, and I am also not a physician. I found it in hepzone.com.
