Re: Pain of disillusionment with spiritual community

Hally,

There comes a time in your life when you need to stand in your own power and wisdom and trust it completely. That's when following a teacher will not be necesssary anymore. In fact, if you try to go to others for spiritual guidance you may actually diminish your own inner abilities and gifts, or makes them less accessible to you. You are likely to become disappointed with others, and perhaps stop trusting them. However, that is not their fault. Trust cannot be disappointed if it is rooted in oneself. Things happen in life that challenge you to continue trusting in yourself, and this is good so. You cannot control how others live their lives, but you can grow from the ways they relate to you. Your pain of disillusionment is your pain, and it may result from your response to the spiritual community. It orininates in resistance, resistance to move on, to start something completely new in life, to let go of the idea that others should behave differently towards you, to seeing things and people in different ways other than being a blessing, etc. etc.
You are not a victim in any of this, and therefore, there is no real need to protect yourself against potential hurt by others. Keep your heart open and follow what it tells you to do. Look for the joy and passion in the things you do. If something doesn't give you joy and pleasure, make the appropriate changes in your life that allow your passion to come forth. Rules and regulations, and ideas how life should be lived are rapidly becoming obsolete. It is more about living your own truth, your own wisdom, your own desires.
Let wild animals seek you out. They are not "wild" as long as they don't sense your fear of them.

Andreas
