i know, and i think they are probably great drs, but not everyone has a mag problem. when i first got sick with adrenal fatigue i did not know what i had. i studied about magnesium for a long time and was convinced that it was my problem so began taking magnesium alone. Because i had adrenal problems, the magnesium upset my already unsteady balance of electrolytes(sodium/potassium balance) and made me even sicker. Then i saw an ND and found out taking magnesium without calcium is dangerous and in fact supplementing with any one mineral is dangerous becasue they all rely on each other. If one is too low or too high it throws off another one which will throw off another one, etc. It made sense to me and because i know how sick i felt with the imbalance i believed her. It is taking me quite some time to get everything in balance again. i feel it made my adreanls problems worse and it is my own falut for always trying to diagniose myself. alot of it is guesswork. So now i take kelp and also there is a good coral calcium(it has magnesium too) made by robert Barefoot that is all balanced. it has everything together that one would need to absorb calcium. calcium works with magnesium like i said, but also with vit d. it gets confusing as each mineral relies on not only other minerals but vitamins as well. the scary part was i had all the symptoms of low magnesium, but they are similar to adrenal fatigue. and maybe i did have low mag and overdid it. i will never know, but i was very ill. sorry so long.
