Not to scare you, but I also agree with OldPilot.

Dark and tarry stools could mean internal bleeding. Blood from hemorrhoids tends to be bright red because tiny vessels are broken near the surface and the blood mixes immediately with the air. A lot of us have this kind of occassional bleeding.

The dark and tarry stuff indicates older blood that is void of any oxygen. It should probably get checked out asap. Tweet
