Dysbiosis after liver flushing??

Dear Andreas,
I apologise for only recently having started reading your work here. The question I would like to ask is do you think it is possible to induce one's own dysbiosis by doing liver flushes? I am 40 years old with two children aged 1 and 3. I am currently trying to eat a diet lower in carbohydrates as I don't seem to tolerate things like bread and sugar any more. Prompted by gallbladder pain, I have done around 20 flushes in the last year or so, with apple juice beforehand and some probiotic capsules afterward. The technique I use is based on the (Australian) Liver Cleansing diet books by Sandra Cabot and what I have learned here on CureZone. Overall I am pleased with the results; I have lost 100 pounds and I no longer feel the need to use asthma medication and decongestant nasal sprays. However, I still feel my eyes have a yellowish tinge.

I have had several bouts of diarrhea in the last year, with lots of lower abdominal discomfort and some bouts of loud abdominal noise. In the last few months I have had problems with excessive gas, although this seems to be significantly improved now that I am taking Threelac. I have done two courses of herbal parasite cleansing and about four weeks of psyllium and bentonite shakes. But I still have lower abdominal pains (not relieved by bowel movements) and sometimes bloating and tenderness.

My problems seemed to coincide with the diagnosis and subsequent death of my 34yr old brother from bowel cancer that had spread to his liver. He had suffered from Ulcerative Colitis for 15 years. At the same time as my brother was dying, my husband had bowel problems and had to have 18inches of his colon removed due to the presence of pre-cancerous polyps. The doctors and psychologists that I have seen in the last 18months just talk about irritable bowel syndrome and want me to take anti-depressants. I am severely depressed. We have just moved to a rental property having sold our home due to a series of financial blows.

I am worried that by doing more liver flushes or bowel cleansing I will be wasting the money I am spending on Threelac, which is the only thing that is producing any improvement for my gut. To what extent does liver flushing remove gut flora and leave the way open for overgrowth of bad bacteria?

Would I benefit from reading your books? I will have to investigate getting them shipped to Australia.

Thankyou for your help.
