Re: organs mal-positioned/stuck?
So far I have never seen anyone comment on the subject of organs and their surrounding fascia becoming twisted, stuck, or malpositioned. I know a lot of bodyworkers that do real, intensive healing that's way past massage (including my boyfriend) and have had "visceral manipulation", myself for the organs. A few months back I saw a holistic MD who worked very successfully in just one visit on my GB with some of these techniques. It had gotten sort of shoved up under my ribcage, and the fascia that connects all those abdominal organs was, as a result, pulling on some other stuff in the bowel and right ovary. I think they get malpositioned for all kinds of reasons - spinal misalignment, shallow breathing and tension, congestion with stones, constipation and a crudded up bowel - you name it.
I've had similar pain when I've actually just had a rib out. I also see an upper cervical chiropractor that sees most folks' rib cages stuck in all kinds of twists because they have brain stem pressure. Once the atlas is adjusted and that pressure removed, the spine, pelvis, and rib cage start to straighten out on their own. I've had a dramatic improvement in life-long scoliosis and neck & back problems after having my atlas adjusted and craniosacral work. She doesn't touch your back - your spine unwinds all by itself.
I think the techniques for working with the organs run the gamut from really deep abdominal massage to a lighter, more sensitive "craniosacral" technique - I've had both, and I personally respond best to subtler techniques. That might be something to consider. I've had plenty of aches and pains over the years, and sometimes the source can be really elusive.
Good luck!
