Christianity and self-gratification?

I was always raised that self-gratification was wrong, but my husband wasn't ever tought anything about it. I was just told it was wrong, it was in the Bible and don't do it, that it was dirty to touch yourself "down there". I tell you I would hardly touch my self to get clean in the shower! So I am just curious, where in the bible does it say it is wrong? It seems like it has been passed down through centeries that it is, but I just haven't ran across it in the bible yet and haven't ever been shown where it is either. If it is so wrong, then how come my husband as a believer doesn't feel wrong about doing it? Is it really wrong? Well...I just keep wonderin' so I thought I would post and ask and see what kind of answers some of you come up with... Tweet
