Okay all you who posted about making pickles. I followed the NT recipe to the best of my ability, making whole pickles, slices and spears. I haven't tasted the whole ones yet, but the others are so mushy that no one can gag them down. I think the taste would be okay, but they are slimy and mushy and yucky. I really can't figure out what I did wrong. My sauerkraut turned out great and grape leaves seemed to work too. Any suggestions?
