No matter what happens, don't close yourself off.
If you have something to gripe about, then gripe, rant, rave, do whatever you need to do to get this off your chest.
In the mean time, try to seek some form of counseling. You may not realize it, but neglect is a form of abuse too.
And as I see it, you are being neglected. In a whole lot of ways.
