hiya Mr. Number Guy

Well thank you! I've been musing on your discussion and examples for the last couple of days. It's all fitting in with this rehab and overhaul of my thinking patterns, and gently sorting through the ideas deciding which ones I can kiss goodbye.

The gender side comparison was interesting too. I thought of your ideas yesterday when a whole family behaved in a rude turfy way to displace my space and time. It was bothering me until I figured out that their child was ill and they'd traveled a long way to get help here in town. I overheard them asking for directions to the hospital. I cut in and directed them, and was able to assure them from personal experience that the staff in their specialty was very good.

The parents looked at me and then at their child. There was this fresh new look of hope in their faces. My heart just melted as they went rushing off.

I liked your idea about backtracking the feelings to the source and crying them out. In fact the last week or two I'm learning how to cry again. It's messy and very worthwhile.

For right now, when something new comes up on the radar in troubling relationships, I can step back and say "Hallelujah! Forgiveness (like compound interest or water in the pipes) is working overtime to benefit ME."
