Re: Acne Treatment Plans

As for studies - I completely disagree. A significant number of studies have been done and have produced very helpful results. Unfortunately, the problem lies in the fact that if the results indicate a necessity of change in lifestyle, diet, etc., THEN the doctors are not interested, because such approaches are relegated to dietitians. Thus, it's crucial to have studies that back up one's treatment plan, but not important whether a doctor subscribes to a plan.
Doing anything without a scientific reason, and because tons of other people did it and think that it worked for them is DANGEROUS. In fact, a friend read Curezone, did a liver flush, followed directions to a T, and ended up in the ER with a blocked duct. On the other hand, it worked for lots of other people, according to their testimonials. The point is, if you don't understand how or why something works - don't do it. There are many postings here that engage in the "everyone needs to clean our their insides, because only then will there be progress" rhetoric. But it means nothing if they don't KNOW how to do this beyond what they have read on this cite.
Just my two cents.
