It said a meat eater's first meal after a ten day Water Fast was the fruit called dates, which have a large amount of sugar. The Sugar re-acted with the mucus in the stomach that had been loosened by the fast, and he died very soon after, like two days.
So... Arnold Ehret did public fasts in Europe in the early 1900's of 20, and 30 days or more. Also a 49 day Water Fast under doctor/scientist supervision. He said most people MUST to break a Water Fast with a mucusless green vegetable, like spinach or cabbage or lettuce for example. He said back in the early 1900's that in his estimation that 50-60% of normal people would die if they tried a long water fast. So that percentage would be a lot higher today, obviously, on our Standard American Diets (SAD diets). His basic message was that a person must start gradual, like three days, then a couple days of mucusless foods (cabbage, lettuce, brocolli, carrots, no potatoes, no rice, nothing cooked), then five days, then maybe 10 days, increasing a little bit each time. So please, please, read these books, they cost only $5 each! Thank you for your time. :)
