Re: help for gardnerella!!!
I was diagnosed with BV too, and they gave me
Antibiotics that made me mad sick. Now whenever I have discharge, I simply don't know what it is anymore. Something has to be radically done, for sure, because there isn't much knowledge or information out there. Most treatments consist of
Antibiotic pills or creams, and I seriously doubt that's a fix, because sooner or later the symptoms come back - and it happens waaaay too much in waaay too many women.
I firmly believe that these things can be affected by sex, but almost no doctor will ever admit that. Anyone who's had sex without a condom during an infection knows full well how much sperm hurts.
There's all these lists of things that supposedly cause yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis, but I haven't noticed most of them to be true, except
Antibiotics .
Immune system and probiotics are important, definitely. Many acidophilus pills sold at stores don't do anything. Even the ones in the fridge aren't always good. One that has worked for me in the past is sold at Whole Foods (in the fridge) and is surprisingly cheap - the brand is CAL I believe.
