Questions about eating raw meat.

Hello everyone,
I have been trying AV's Primal Diet for a couple of weeks now. I was very glad to find this forum and read others' experiences with it. I can't chew red meat well enough to swallow it. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to overcome that problem? I have eaten it in the form of ground beef, and then it's much easier to get down, but someone told me that there's a lot more bacteria in the meat when it's ground. Does anyone know if ground beef is okay? I have read AV's book The Recipe for Living Disease Free, and he doesn't talk about ground beef. I want to buy his other book, but am trying to get by without it since his books are a little expensive for me. I know he thinks you don't have to worry about bacteria in meat, but I don't know if ground beef is an exception. Has anyone ground their own in a food processor? I just have a mini processor that doesn't seem strong enough to process beef, but I might give it a try anyway. I have been having a hard time making myself eat the raw meat, but since he says it is very important to getting well, I am going to keep trying.
AV has a recipe for something to take when you have pain anywhere in your body. It's a combination of raw butter, honey, lemon juice, raw egg, and bee pollen. I have tried it several times, and it works unbelievably well.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Betta
