Re: not quite what you were looking for..

I've been to the Evolution Debate forum. People there mostly either debate that evolution is true in general, or talk about the differences between evolutionary theory and creationism. Since it's a debate forum, people don't generally post in a very open-mided way.

I suppose we could use that already-existing forum, though since half those peolpe don't believe in evolution, there might some vicious reponses.
I would be interested in more of a "human evolution and human-ape comparison discussion forum". I don't know if there would be enough interest for that, do you think we should suggest it?

Regarding that hobbit article -
I can't remember how long ago, I was at some kind of carnival with various side/"freak" shows. You know, the kind with two-headed dogs and bearded ladies and such. Well, one of the attractions was for "the world's smallest human". We went in thinking we would see some kind of fake. Behold, there was truely a very small, yet proportunate woman - not a "midget", as you would see in real life. We didn't look at her for too long, as we were embaressed for staring at her, though I guess that was her job, to be stared at.
