"you may very well have developed an allergy to refined starch which is the culprit or root cause of the IBS. I would do a NO grain diet...eliminate refined sugars and carbs and replace with good carbs. The only grains that are an exception are: spelt, quinoa, millet, amaranth. No Sugar either (ofcourse) try stevia. Also Probiotics...lots and lots of good probiotics to rebalance, reinstate, and rebuild a healthier foundation within the gut. Hope you feel better...Jamie"
Thanks but, I have nothing to eliminate since I don't eat refined sugars or starch or bad carbs, EVER. I only eat 'good' carbs.
I don't think I have IBS -- but a viral infection. I have a friend who is now complaining of the same thing...she is very healthy. I hope hers doesn't stay for 12 weeks.
It's the proteins that hurt me... I don't know why! I crave a piece of steak, fish or some scrambled eggs but can't right now because then I get that irritated feeling in the middle of my upper stomach.
Oatmeal is great and very soothing with applesauce, cinammon and french vanilla yogurt, with cultures on top. Almost like Apple Pie which I would never eat.
I've been using hot pepper, garlic, cinammon, and lemon/ginger and clove tea.
I was eating yogurt but getting sick of this. Today I made tomato sauce with raw garlic and hot pepper in it, and if that doesn't kill anything of any kind in there nothing will!
