Re: re: nevereverends

To tell you the truth I'm just as confused as you are. One time i left the skin on and a portion of the skin healed. Another time i did it nothing happened. The skin that was underneath the crusts was normal skin... its so hard to explain.

Ok you know when you get ur lips wet? Those crusts turn thick and white. They look like sludge, they have mass. The skin underneath that was closer to healing had no mass. It didnt look like sludge. It was completely flat against my lip. Actually thats not the proper way to describe it. This healed portion was "my lip". It wasnt nasty dead skin over my lip. It basically looked like a normal lip with a tiny shade of white over it. The white was more a color rather then its own object like the sludgy crusts. And the white faded into normal skin. And then the second time i went thru the cycle, when the crusts came off to reveal no healing i got frustrated and wiped it all off so i could go out with my friends that weekend. And am now back to square one cuz it seems that the healed portion is now raw again.

Given that i don't work in the winter and have given up seeing my friends i have alot of room to work. Im gonna be trying to keep my lips as dry as possible. Im am not going to drink with a straw as this could put pressure on the lips and cause the crusts to losen. Im going to quit smoking. Im going to avoid food that requires excessive chewing and will not be going out much as this will make me want to wipe the crusts off. Im going to take a pictures tommorrow of my lips as the crusts started forming today. I will continue to take pictures every three days for the next month so if i get any resualts at all youll all be able to see them. Im not however going to post them until either my lips heal, or have shown significant change. I dont want to get peoples hopes up, many have gotten mine up and it sucks.
I, like you have also managed to heal a great deal of my upper lip. I think the parts that make least contact with liquids & food heal best. My lips dont get soaked with saliva. Ive learned to sleep with my mouth shut... know why? Couple years back i figured that the inhale and exhale of breath might be causing my lips to dry... my how my life revolves around this. Im not going to be answering any more questions about the portion of my lips that healed as it makes me feel like the type to get peoples hopes up. Hopefully in about two weeks ill have a pic of these white healed areas to show. Hopefully, not for sure.
