Potatoes are big no no :(

Unfortnately Zapp is 100% right. Mashed potatoes are a big problem. They turn to glucose and cause your blood Sugar to shoot sky high which candida LOVES.

Basically the idea with candida is to keep the blood glucose steady and in the normal range. Do not eat anyhting that will make it shoot up. Even carrots and opnions can be bad. Check out http://www.nutritiondata.com. Look at the Sugar in the foods you eat. A serving of broccoli has 2 -3 grams of Sugar per serving, this is about as low as you will get. Maybe lettuce is lower. But everything has a carb value and therefore a sugar value. Somethings are very sugary like mashed potatoes. You might as well eat from the sugar bowl since your body does not know the difference. And this is a big reason why Americans are FAT , obese and DIABETIC. Too much mashed potatoes, bread, pasta, rice , cakes, cookies , even milk is loaded with sugar at approx 12 g per serving... yikes.

The idea with candida diet is to keep low normal blood glucose steady throughout the day. This way you severely minimize what you are feeding candida but you still nourish yourself.

In the meantime, you also need to add antifungals. Diet alone will NOT kill it. So , get on a diet and then give it the one two punch with an antifungal bowel cleanse. The faster you kill the little creatons , the faster you can go back to an normal life.

What does one eat? Vegetables, meats, that is pretty much it. We find ways to get creative to make it tasty. You can also add a grain like buckwheat in small amounts. Make some buckwheat pancakes with cinnamon. It works well to fill you up.. It is not easy, but it is worth it.
