This is confusing me. I have looked around on this issue for a while. Apparently there is a link with heavy metals in the body and candida. Did they grow to much to take the toxic load and prevent cell damage? I have read that some think this is the case. Or do they grow too much because they are a living organism like anything else trying to grow in abundance because the metals have lowered the immunity and so they can prosper. It seems there are 2 schools of thought! The moreless pages have testimonials regarding lowering the ph of the body, as apparently candida grow too much if we are too acidic and helping to bring ph levels to a more normal level. The foods that'alkalise' are many fruits and yes potatoes! I have candida issues myself and have been unwell for a while. So I will self experiment with this. At present I am following the alkalising diet. I was just thinking about the blood Sugar thing and insulin, maybe there is a link with candida and parasites in the pancreas, as H.Clark suggests this is the cause of diabetes type II. Any thoughts on this topic anyone?
