Thanks for the info. It's really confusing to me when I go to the market and find 5 million different kinds of salmon (Norwegian\Atlantic\farm\organic, etc).
According to National Wildlife Magazine(Aug\Sept 06)-(its a bathroom read!), the article has a chart that listes Alaskan Wild-Caught Salmon on the HARVEST SUSTAINABLY-BEST CHOICES column \ LOW MERCURY LEVEL row. The Farm-Raised Atlantic Salmon is also on the LOW MERCURY LEVEL row but on the OVERFISHED-AVOID column.
Now I don't make all choices based on every magazine article but from other readings, reports, and findings I just wanted more confirmation about the farm-raised salmon. I bought it because it did look good (darnit! - got pulled in again) but I knew in the back of my mind that I really shouldn't have. Ah right - Liver Flush this weekend to clean out!!
