What brushing your teeth does is provide a continuous spark that is then furthermore ignited by other foods in your diet, especially for those that have had cavities as the food (toothpaste) is clearly getting access to every corner of your mouth and teeth, leading to resistance in the salivary glands. This is why my candida has be so stubborn, because I have been giving it a kickstart every morning, a lifeline... I will update here how I feel in two weeks time after stopping using toothpaste.
I'm going to brush with a mixture of softened glutamine with freshly chopped organic mint followed by rinsing with water that has organic Sea Salt added. Then I will crunch some cloves and perhaps another strong herb to freshen breath.
Perhaps somebody else will provide a better more convenient solution here on the board for all of us to benefit from, but until then I think my protocol is looking the best.
Regarding toothpaste... today I went out and viewed the shelves of all the local chemists and supermarkets and every single one of the brands had atleast TWO artifical sweeteners contained on the label, sorbitol being the primary sweetener, the other being sodium saccharin. The toothpaste I was using came form the local healthfood store and also contains sorbitol, it is supposed to be a "herbal" toothpaste...
I will search the internet for a supplier who can provide a natural toothpaste without any sugary additives, hopefully I will find one.
