How horrible! Go back to your own doc and tell her to take the stupid thing out. That is not normal. I had the thing in for over 3 years, and never experienced that kind of discomfort, let alone, pain. Plus, have you read the testimonials throughout this forum? It's not worth the risk to find out a year or more from now that it is physiologically messing up your sanity and your life and maybe even your whole body. No need for a second opinion. Have her take it out. I don't know what the laws are like in the UK, but in the USA we have the right to accept or reject a procedure being done to our bodies. That is so typical of a doc to just write out a prescription before really looking into the root cause of the problem. Did she even ask if you were allergic to any medications or had any allergies at all? Anyway, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but just tell them to remove it before it causes you too much internal damage in the long run. You should not have pain and constant bleeding. Remember, the longer you wait, the more tolerant to the pain you will become, so take it out now. Your body is screaming to let you know it is wrong!!!
