Hands Falling Asleep

I have read several messages about women with Mirena having their hands fall asleep. I have a question for you, does it happen while you are awake? While sleeping, I'll usually wake up every night with both my hands numb, but I just figured I was laying on them funny or something, but maybe it is the IUD??
