New to Juicing: Wheat Grass---What Type of Seeds?

I am loving my new juicer and we're having lots of fun. Right now, I'm mostly doing a combo of apple and spinach, as my kids love it and so do I. I usually add half a lemon to it, too, though I'm not sure if that's okay (fruit and veggies can mix or can't?)...it feels okay in my stomach, in any case, unlike the cabbage concoction did that I made-lol.

I bought a huge bag of organic carrots, but we all can't stand the carrot juice. It felt waaaay too sweet (though I don't think I diluted it with water at all--that might have helped) and I felt sick afterwards. Maybe it was detoxing, but it felt more like I was just totally overloaded with sugar.

ANYways, I want to start growing wheat grass and barley grass...but am not sure how. Can I use regular wheat berries like the kind I grind into flour? Or do I need to buy a special type? Is soft wheat or hard wheat better, nutritionally, etc? Where do you get your seeds? Any recommendations? I would like to keep on using the apples, since we all love them and I can get them fairly inexpensively (and organic), and think the wheatgrass would be a great addition (instead of buying spinach).

I'd appreciate any thoughts, tips, advice!
Warmly,
HZ
