Well, when I first had my IUD put in I bled for a while. It was always heavy though. I don't understand why your Dr. won't take out your IUD. Why not? If you don't like the bleeding I don't see why the Dr. would not take it out. I'm pretty sure teh bleeding happened to most the the women who put it in. Reason being is that it is shedding the lining of your uterus. It's getting rid of it so that an egg can not implant in the uterus. But i think u should be able to have a say about your birth control. What if you wanted to get pregnant , would the still tell you no? The whole do -it -yourself sounds kinda risky though.
