Hey, don't let them tell you that you have to wait to have your period to have it removed!! One of the "benefits" of the Mirena is not getting a period, right? I never had a period with the Mirena inserted. I had mine removed on 4/10/07 and I was not on my period. Getting it out was no problem. Did not feel a thing and I am much better without it. Call the doctor back and if they insist on you having a period, just tell them you have your period now. Tweet
