Re: help-they won't take it out!!!!

if you live in the states, i would try and get on medicaid. true, it may not be until next month that it will start, but that would be better than nothing. also, i was told that the only way that they will cover for it to be taken out is if you have problems wiht it. you can go to the health department and they will refer you to a dr to get it removed. i would assume that planned parenthood should do the same thing. and yes, dr's can remove it in the office (so ive heard as well) by dilating your cervix and pulling on the strings. if all else fails-provided you find a dr who will do it (some will still be a total jerkwad)-you can workout a payment plan to be able to afford the removal. some hospitals will do that as well. if all else fails, go through with the d&c, especially if you can work out a plan wiht the hospital. but be warned it will cost at least a few thousand dollors. i know, ive had five due to miscarriages, and the last one was 6wks ago. im sure that the after effects of the mirena were to blame for me losing our fifth child. we had fixed the problem and had two very healthy little girls, then another loss after i used the mirena for three months. what else could be the cause?? please try anything possible to get this out of your system. i understand what you are going throug, i could not take care of my two children properly while i was using the mirena for the same reasons that you are having problems. since i have started to heal and recover from everything that has happened in the 3.5 months, i have started to feel more like my old self again. i no longer have to have a nap everyday in order to keep up with my children. im sure that after you eventually get yours out, you will start to be more like you old self. granted that it may not be immediate, it may take a little while for everything to come back to normal, but things will start to change. best of luck in getting this contraption out of you.
