The yokes are better if you're going to have eggs. Raw is best, of course, its when these things are cooked that they become particularly clogging to the system but raw I find them an incredibly easy to digest form of protein (must be organic).
Sprouted seeds are EXCELLENT alternatives, as are leafy greens and lentils (though can be hard on the kidneys).
Again, raw milk is a fantastic tonic - only when its processed does it become particularly clogging to the liver and systems. I avoid processed milk at all times (for a number of reasons).
Infact, one of the maintainance type flushes calls for a raw yoke, lime and oil concoction to flush the liver.
