The liver doesn't respond very well to fasting and tends to develop biliary stasis, where it reduces the amount of bile it produces. Kick starting may have unpredictable effects.

To avoid potential problems you need regular bowel movements and be fully hydrated in terms of fluids and electrolytes before liver flushing.

Also it is recommended not to do back-to-back cleanses. It is better to wait a minimum of 2 weeks between procedures in order that the body can recover and return to its balanced state.
