Yes fresh cheeses like ricotta or fresh mozzarella (in water) are better tolerated than aged ones like parmesan. I used to treat myself to buckwheat, fresh mozzarella cheese pizza about once a week. This was one fo the hightlights of my diet all week. I know how hard it is when you are eating the same things over and over again. It gets better so keep your chin up.
Also Ezekial bread is often well tolerated. I believe the reason yeast is to be avoided has something to do with leaky gut and becoming allergic to the yeast. As the other poster said, just watch for symptoms. That will be your best guide.
