Re: removed myself!

I removed mine myself a few months ago. It was the easiest thing to do, because my doctor didn't cut the strings short. All I did was very gently pull them and before I knew it, the thing was out. I never even felt it. I was lucky though because mine was still where it was supposed to be and didn't get embedded in my uterus. I've had about 2 periods since it was removed and both had a couple of days where it was really really heavy, but other than that were normal. Since taking it out, my hair has started falling out and I still haven't lost any weight. I worked out that I have put on the equivalent of my 6 yr old daughter in weight (about 25kg) since I had the thing put in Feb 2005. I hate it, hate it, hate it!!!!! Anyone considering getting one..... DON'T! Tweet
