Re: The Brainwashing of our Children

I never signed my kid over to anyone. I would have
brought her home to home school rather than allow
her to be intimidated with a curriculum which
does not support a constitutional government. I
took her to vote her first time, and I bought her
first newspaper subscription. She works and pays
taxes and I expect her to stay on top of what it
means to be involved in her community and the way
it is governed. Fortunately, I have a kid who is
interested. Perhaps, it was because I was a stay
at home mom, owned a business, and still found
time to go to parent days and be involved with
PTA and Junior Achievement.

I told her that school was meant to teach her how
to learn so that as an adult, her passion for
teaching herself would be intact. I feel sorry
for the kids today who are spoon fed a curriculum
that emphasizes staying in the lines. I would be
home schooling or at the very least standing up
at a PTA meeting and asking why this is acceptable.

I still think we should be saying the pledge of
allegiance too. The brainwashing of parents though
has also been extensive and there is no need to
remind me that the problem is much bigger above
and below the surface than we can imagine. I still
feel bringing awareness to an issue is better than
keeping my mouth shut.

best wishes,
