Re: Thanks for the info - bought a skillet!

Way cool~!

a few things, you will not ever want to use soap
on your cast iron. Hopefully you will receive a
care sheet. I use hot water and a designated brush.
You can also use salt. Believe me, they are easy
to clean...just do not wait. I also use coconut
oil to re-seal the pan after drying. Just enough
to coat the inside only of the pan, with my
finger-tips.

I really love using coconut oil for cooking since
I now know it is so good for you, the oil I use is
just part of my daily allowance. I had not realized
olive oil should not be heated at a high heat and
so that was a habit easy to quit.

I think I am going to also try this new non-certified
oil from Tropical Traditions for seasoning pans and
baking, using on my skin and hair, and keep my organic
for eating by mouth and cooking. Here is a link~~
they have free shipping until Sunday~~

I know I have purchased other things from growers
that is organic, just not certified, so do not have
a huge problem if this company is standing by it.

blessings,
Zoe
