My experience is that 5 hours might be too long without eating and then doing the oil pull. I have to eat more frequently and smaller meals. Going that long without any food and then doing the oil pull gets the acid flowing with no buffer in your stomach.

I would suggest not doing the oil pull if it has been that long without food. It helped me.
