When the white coating on your tongue disappears and your tongue turns pink, it is a sign that you should end your fast, also when you feel what they refer to as "true hunger" a sensation felt in the throat like thirst not cravings. I haven't felt "true hunger" while fasting, so I use the coating of the tongue as my guide.
