That's really interesting about Candida strains not feeding on lactose. But I think you need to a bit careful not to jump to the conclusion that lactose is fine. The enzyme lactase hydrolyzes lactose to galactose and glucose. So even if a strain of Candida doesn't feed on lactose directly, it may be feed on the sugars produced when the lactose is broken down in the bowel.
