What happens when she drinks water with salt? Some people who have trouble put it into empty gelatin caps and swallow it with water that way.

Looks like your wife is the one who needs to be doing the research and taking charge of her own body. She may or may not make the same decisions you would make or that you would want her to make. I know you are trying to be helpful, but she will also be less likely to be angry with you if she is doing the research and making her own decisions--well, ultimately, she made the decision to take the iodine, but I hope you get my point.

Sorry, dude, but I'd be angry with you to if you were my husband and said "women are difficult." Me thinks you probably have your own share of being difficult.
