I've done a bunch of flushes, all flat on my back.

My Sister swears by sitting almost up, with 3-4 pillows behind her, and leaning to the right.

I think it is also easier to remain still, while on your back, whch is important to make sure no stone gets stuck.

Important: Make sure you prep prior to the flush to soften the stones.

It's also beneficial to apply a Castor Oil pack before the flush, and, if you can take it, to keep a heating-vibrating pad over the GB area during the LF.
(Works great for me, although sometimes I can't use the vibrating part, because of nausea).
